AR uses a check scanner that requires admin permission to install the driver. If the driver is not installed, then open a ticket with IT and request assistance with installing the check scanner.

 

Where to get the installer

When logging into the banking website and going to the remote deposit web page, the website will check to see if the Epson check scanner driver utility is running in the system tray. If it is not running in the system tray, then the website will download the installer for the driver to the Downloads folder.

 

How to install

Running the installer requires UAC escalation/authentication. This is where IT needs to get involved and provide admin credentials. After providing admin credentials, accept all of the defaults to install the driver for the check scanner. After installation finishes, the driver utility will be running in the system tray and will be added to the Windows Startup folder.

 

How to use the driver

After the driver is installed and running in the system tray, log back into the banking website and go to the remote deposit web page. The Web page will now allow you to start scanning checks.
